JOB SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, provide document preparation and scanning skills to convert confidential paper-based documents into digital-formatted files for the Human Resources and Finance Departments in accordance with Airport Authority procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for organizing and indexing paper-based documents in preparation for scanning.

Using scanning equipment and Laserfiche software, scans paper documents, ensuring proper alignment, orientation, and cropping.

Performs quality checks to ensure scanned documents are legible and placed in the appropriate Laserfiche file.

Works with confidential employee and financial documentation and will be responsible for maintaining critical confidentiality.

Once quality checks are completed, responsible for operating an on-site shredding machine to shred scanned documents in accordance with Airport Authority procedures.

Other Job Responsibilities:

With specific direction, may perform various administrative support for the Finance and Human Resources Departments.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Computer, Typewriter, Calculator, Copier, Scanner, Office Machines, and Document Shredder.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Where "preferred" is indicated, the qualification is not essential.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED.

Two years of general office experience.

Experience with scanning equipment and document conversion, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

None.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise discretion.

General knowledge of office computer systems.

Skill in organizing and maintaining records.

Ability to learn basic computer systems and software.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to maintain attention to details.

Ability to learn the Airport Authority administrative practices and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

The Document Imaging Technician must be diligent in adhering to all work-related safety rules, procedures and regulations and take the precautions necessary to comply with the Airport Authority safety policy. The physical ability to lift and move office records weighing up to 25 pounds.

Mental Requirements:

The Document Imaging Technician must have the mental capacity to perform a variety of administrative duties assigned by department personnel. The Document Imaging Technician must maintain confidentiality of information and develop and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, fellow employees, outside agencies and the public.

Environmental Requirements:

The Document Imaging Technician generally works in an office environment.
